Last week, we celebrated two years of EVI Repair Café and EVI Pantry! A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for birthday cake, repairs, and community support. It was wonderful to see so many familiar and new faces coming together to mark this milestone.
Since launching in February 2023, both the Repair Café and Pantry have made a huge difference in our community.

EVI Repair Café:
EVI Repair Café is a community initiative where volunteers offer free repairs on the third Monday of every month, fixing household electricals, bikes, clothing, jewellery, and more—helping people save money, reduce waste, and learn new skills!
Over the last two years:
– 268 items repaired, saving 564kg of waste from landfill and preventing over 11,000kg of CO₂e from entering the atmosphere
– Over £27,000 saved in replacement costs

EVI Pantry:
EVI Pantry is a community food initiative that helps households across Blaenau Gwent cut their grocery bills while reducing food waste. Open every Monday, members can fill a basket with up to £20 worth of groceries for just £5!
Over the last two years:
– 470+ households supported across Blaenau Gwent
– Over 5,200+ visits, saving the community £73,600 on grocery bills
– 190 Christmas & Easter hampers distributed to those in need

These amazing achievements show what we can accomplish when we come together—saving money, reducing waste, and supporting each other as a community!
Thank You!
A big thank you to our volunteers, funders, donors, and everyone who has supported EVI Repair Café and Pantry. Whether you’ve repaired an item, stocked shelves, visited us, or simply spread the word, your contributions have made a real impact.
