Learn a new and timeless skill, and create something beautiful with your very own hands in this EVI beginners’ sewing course!
This informal, friendly, & fun course is free of charge and will run every Thursday, 2 – 4.30pm, for 5 weeks starting 21st September.
Week 1: Master the Basics Learn all the different stitches and where they are used, how to sew a button, hem a skirt, mend a seam and more. Also practice threading a sewing machine!
Week 2: Cutting Out a Basic Pattern Choose your pattern, gather your fabrics, and start prepping to create a stunning yet simple piece of clothing! We can give you tips if you like. (You will need to buy your own fabric, if you are unable to do so, we may be able to help – let us know).
Weeks 3 and 4: Craft Your Masterpiece! Learn all about marking, sewing fitting, interlining and lining.
Week 5: Finishing Touches and Next Steps Add the finishing touches to your project with buttonholes and buttons, top stitching, and more. We’ll also chat about what you can do next with your newfound skills!
Limited spaces are available! To register your interest in the course, email sam@evi.cymru, ring 01495708022 or pop in.
