The National Film and Television School (NFTS) – one of the world’s leading film institutions – is bringing its Access NFTS outreach programme to Ebbw Vale! Supported by Netflix, this free event is designed to offer a deeper insight and provide skills, knowledge and inspiration for a career within the film, TV and games industry.

The Schedule

Morning Session: Screenings & Industry Talks (10:00 – 12:30)

Join us for a series of exclusive screenings followed by interactive Q&As with industry professionals.

• Screening 1: Rockfall – Followed by a talk with Director/Animator Sam Dewick.
• Screening 2: TBC (To be announced).
• Q&A: Ask questions about the creative process and how these projects were brought to life.

Afternoon Session: Hands-on Workshops (13:30 – 15:30)

Get practical experience in these specialist workshops. Please note: attendees can choose to attend 2 of the 3 sessions below.

– Animation | Creating the Character

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need previous experience? No. These events are introductory and designed to raise aspirations and dispel myths about the industry. Whether you are a total beginner or already have a project in mind, you are welcome.

Do I have to attend the whole day? No. You are free to attend any part of the day, though we ask that you arrive and depart during the scheduled breaks (11:00, 12:00, or 13:20).

How do I book? Individual tickets can be booked via the NFTS website. For group bookings, please email outreach@nfts.co.uk directly rather than using the online form.
