Lighthouse Theatre returns to EVI with two festive favourites: Dylan Thomas’ A Child’s Christmas in Wales and Richard Burton’s A Christmas Story—a double bill of two wonderful Christmas tales by two famous Welshmen! Join us for the perfect evening of festive storytelling. Heart-warming, funny, and cosy—just as Christmas should be!
Told by award-winning actors Adrian Metcalfe and James Scannell, this evening’s festive entertainment has been described by the press as ‘masterful story-telling’ and ‘perfect festive fare’. Mince pies and mulled wine included in your ticket!
Dylan Thomas’ A Child’s Christmas in Wales is a seasonal favourite in Wales and beyond, and this wonderful evocation of a child’s delight at the festive season has become famous the world over. Richard Burton’s A Christmas Story is not as well known, but is a funny, warm and thought provoking account of childhood memories…in many ways it was a conscious response to Dylan Thomas’ own childhood narrative.
Physical tickets are also available to purchase at EVI reception in advance (if you want to avoid booking fees – cash only). Doors open at 7pm, show starts 7.30pm.

This event is made possible with funding from the UK Government , through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the Arts Council Wales ‘Night Out’ scheme.
