CREATIVE MUSIC JOURNEYS

Are you a budding musician, sound tech, lighting engineer, film maker or just interested in breaking into the music and creative industries? 

Session Recall presents ‘Creative Music Journeys’; an afternoon of music, film and creative industry insights from new and established musicians, artists and industry legends right here at the Ebbw Vale Institute (EVI), in collaboration with Business in Focus.

Successful artists and creative experts will chat candidly about their journeys into and through the music and creative sectors, offering you insights and tales of how the industry really works, answering any of your burning questions, providing state-of-the-art studio tours and performing live.

Compére for the event is legendary music producer Nick Brine, who came out of Rockfield Studios and produced the iconic 2^nd Oasis album, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory. Nick has also worked with The Stone Roses, Bruce Springsteen, Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Stereophonics, Robbie Williams, The Darkness, Verve, Teenage Fanclub, Beta Band, Seasick Steve, Super Furry Animals and many more.

Join us for all or part of this exciting event!

3 pm to 5pm – studio tours, industry advice, careers options, and more!

5pm to 7pm – industry talks from recording artists, Q&A, panel and live performances.  Finished off with a talk from the head of the vegetarian society and showcase of a short film.

7pm to 10pm – bands from Coleg Gwent perform songs recorded with music producer Nick Brine.

Artists include…

Dustin Yemm – Solo Artist, songwriter, session musician, touring artist, multi-instrumentalist. Dustin has worked alongside members of Oasis, Welsh Producer legend Owen Morris and members of The Darkness.

Heidi Lewis – Welsh singing sensation from The Voice currently working on her own material for her debut album.

Scott Milligan of Kitten Pyramid

Pre-Screening of KIDDO short horror film premiering with ALTER on the 29th Dec. KIDDO creator and critically acclaimed Kitten Pyramid artist Scott Milligan explains his journey making both the album and short film. Scott will be joined by record producer and Kitten Pyramid band member Nick Brine along with the CEO of the Vegetarian Society, Richard McIlwain.
