Join us for an exciting free craft workshop as part of the White Ribbon Community Banner project.
In this hands-on creative workshop, you will create a textile square that will form part of a banner. This banner will be exhibited at the Riverfront Theatre and Arts Centre in Newport, as part of their 16 day exhibition to mark White Ribbon Day.
Materials will be provided – you are also welcome to bring your own sewing kits if you wish, and any pieces of material you wish to use in your design. Words, images, and patterns can be added to your square. If possible, you can plan out in advance what you’ll like to make, although people will be on-hand during the day to offer advice and guidance.
Offered as a safe and welcoming space for women, the workshop is free, with an optional donation to the White Ribbon campaign on the day.
