Singing is for Everyone

Say goodbye to old-fashioned musical terminology, intimidating sheet music and stuffy directing, EVI Voxpop is a contemporary, fresh, and uplifting community choir where singers grow and feel at home. We believe that singing is for everyone, and that everyone can sing!

Come along and sing in a creative and relaxed rehearsal environment where members never feel embarrassed to make a ‘mistake’. Lift your spirits at our sessions filled with fun and laughter.

EVI Voxpop Musical Arrangements

You won’t hear harmonies, mashups, and remixes like ours in any other choir – our Musical Director, Alison, creates all our unique arrangements in-house. EVI Voxpop steps away from standard and predictable choir songs and has modernised what ‘going to choir’ really means; friends mention EVI Voxpop like they are going to weekly gym class to boost their well-being.

No Auditions

Nobody enjoys auditioning. EVI Voxpop is open to everyone. You may find other choirs have ‘no audition process’ but will then ask you to sing a few scales before you join or put you through a trial period. We don’t do that.

Free Taster Session

We charge a small weekly attendance fee of £3, to help us cover tea/coffee at rehearsals, lyric sheets, MP3’s or CD’s for home practise, and to rehearse in a safe and warm environment.

If you enjoy singing, come along for a free taster session and give it a go, you really have nothing to lose. We’re a very friendly bunch and you’ll soon get swept along in the fun of the session. ‘Singing from the Soundtrack of your Life’.
